Welcome to my little slice of the internet! I'm Jaclynn Anne, but more often known as Jackie. I've been a photographer since 2012, but only just started exclusively into wedding photography in 2021.
I remember picking up a camera to play with as early as the age of 7 or 8 (so the late 80s or early 90s). It was a purple and teal film point and shoot and I still own it to this day. I think I should scrounge it up and see if it would still work to take some vintage film photos. How cool would that be...darn camera would be over 30 years old!
Fast forward a couple of decades and in 2010 I got my first D-SLR camera, a Rebel XSi. It was this camera where I really started to get into photography; another camera I still own and use to this day as my backup camera. I started by taking lots of landscape photos and began accumulating my lenses. It wasn't however until 2012 where I became more serious about my photography and began to photograph people. I photographed my first wedding in 2012, but it wasn't until 9 years later in 2021 when I moved from Yellowknife, NWT to Kamloops, BC that I started exclusively as a wedding photographer.
As of January 2024, I have had the opportunity to work with over 16 lovely couples and will have the blessing to work with at least 8 more this 2024 season. My shooting vibe is fun and relaxed with as much direction given as needed. I pride myself on my client experience, and I adore shooting weddings. My wish is that one day I will get to shoot an elopement as my husband, Brent, and I eloped last year in 2023.
I am currently 41 years old and live with my husband and our fur baby Max. Max is a rescue lab chow cross and is about 7 years old. During the day I work full time as an Occupational Therapist and for fun, other than photography, we love to soft road and camp.
